Ciao, I'm Matteo — founder of Playiamo. I was born and raised in Italy, where sport has always been more than competition — it’s about connection, discipline, and joy.
In 2015, I moved to the United States to pursue my dream of coaching soccer.


Over time, what started as an adventure became a life built on purpose, community, and belonging. I’m proud of my Italian roots — the passion, the attention to detail, the love for life and good food — and equally proud to call this beautiful Country "HOME".


Having lived and worked across different U.S. States, I’ve built friendships and experiences that shaped who I am.
Since 2019, Houston, TX has been home, where I live with my wife and continue to share my love for sport, wellness, and connection.


Then came pickleball — a sport that captured my heart for its social spirit and inclusiveness.


It reminds me of my own journey: people coming together, moving with joy, and embracing life at every age.


That same energy inspired Playiamo — a brand for those who believe movement is life.


Because staying active isn’t about age — it’s about attitude.
And when we play, we remind ourselves that joy, confidence, and purpose never retire.

                OUR STORY

It all started in our kitchen — just me and my wife — with one simple idea: wellness should be effortless.


Playiamo was born from a passion for creating balance, confidence, and play through everyday choices.

We design pieces that help people feel good from the inside out — apparel that supports movement, comfort, and self-care in every season of life.


The name Playiamo is a play on words — play, amo (Italian for “I love”), and andiamo (“let’s go”).
It reflects our belief that wellness is fueled by joy, love, and forward motion.


Our logo was designed with each letter of the word play — a reminder that movement, creativity, and purpose are at the heart of everything we do.


What began as a weekend hobby soon turned into late nights of designing, testing fabrics, and learning every side of the business.


Every stitch and detail became part of a bigger mission: to create apparel that blends wellness, performance, and style — without compromise.


But Playiamo is more than apparel.


We care deeply about the active adult community — those who believe in staying fit, strong, and connected as they age.


Through our events and partnerships, we promote both physical and mental wellness: from local pickleball clinics in Houston, to sponsoring tournaments across the U.S. (this December, we’ll be in Florida), and future wellness gatherings designed to bring people together through sport, balance, and joy.


Today, Playiamo is a community for wellness-driven players — people who move with purpose, live with curiosity, and believe that play is part of a healthy life.
Because wellness isn’t a destination; it’s a journey.
